There were 14 new cases added from January to April 2023; this shows that the transmission of pulmonary TB in the community is still quite high even though the government continues to eradicate TB. The purpose of this community service is for families and communities to be able to carry out 5 family health tasks, including recognizing health problems about pulmonary TB, making the right decisions, carrying out treatment procedures, modifying the environment that supports healing, and using health facilities in efforts to cure pulmonary TB patients. The method is to provide education and training to families and communities about the care, treatment, and prevention of pulmonary TB and the formation of the Community TB Care Group. The results obtained showed significant changes in the ability of families and communities to carry out family and community health tasks. Increased ability to recognize pulmonary TB health problems, be able to make decisions, be able to provide care to patients, and be able to modify the environment that supports healing, and all patients have utilized the available health facilities. A TB care group was formed under the name of the TB Care Community Group (KMP TB) "Sehat Paru" in Mandiangin Barat Village. Target Partners are expected to be more proactive in finding new and old cases of pulmonary TB and can also help families to carry out treatment and participate in supervising patients to comply with taking medication regularly.

Keywords: Pulmonary TB, family health tasks, care, treatment, prevention
Marwansyah Marwansyah, Zainab, Yasir Farhat, Farah Annisa, Arief Rahman, Rizkan Azhima Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Rakat Sehat : Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 http://jrsabdimas-poltekkesbjm.com/index.php/JRS/article/view/95 Sat, 21 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Intervensi Aspek Kesehatan Lingkungan dalam Mencegah Kejadian Stunting http://jrsabdimas-poltekkesbjm.com/index.php/JRS/article/view/99
Melayu Tengah Village is one of the villages located in East Martapura District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province. With strategic village potential, it has a connecting bridge with East Martapura District and other villages, the existence of Pukaha craftsmen, and community support for health. However, health problems still occur frequently, such as diarrhea and stunting. Banjar Regent H. Saidi Mansyur said that based on the results of the 2021 Indonesian toddler nutrition case study, the prevalence of stunting in Banjar Regency was 40.2%. (Banjar Regency Public Info, (20 May 2022). Even though the threshold set by the World Health Organization or WHO for stunting cases is only around 20 percent. Moreover, prevalence rates above around 30 percent are declared as 'red' status areas.

After the previous year the team carried out increased sanitation efforts, one of which was through increasing community knowledge in the target area of Melayu TengahVillage, East Martapura District, Banjar Regency, community service in 2024 will focus on interventions on environmental health aspects in the form of building faecal disposal facilities and household wastewater management. Stunting has a negative impact on children's health and can hamper Indonesia's demographic bonus in the future. To prevent stunting, mothers need to get adequate nutritional intake during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, preventing stunting must start from adolescence, because the impact of poor nutrition begins preconception. Previous research showed that 65% of female students at SMPN 3 Banjarbaru experienced anemia with hemoglobin (Hb) levels below normal. Therefore, education is needed to increase teenagers' knowledge in dealing with anemia in order to prevent stunting. This community service aims to empower active female students in the Youth Red Cross (PMR) and UKS as CAEM (Prevent Anemia) and Santun (Healthy Anti-Stunting) cadres. This activity is carried out through three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The evaluation results showed that 79% of female students had normal Hb levels and 100% eosinophils within normal limits. The output of this activity includes the formation of youth cadres, increasing knowledge and skills, and improving the health of partners. Apart from that, there is cooperation between the Banjarmasin Ministry of Health Polytechnic and the fostered partners in the form of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS). All achievement targets for this activity were achieved, and it is recommended to involve teenage parents and experts in the field of Midwifery and Nutrition in further service activities.
Neni Oktiyani, Wahdah Norsiah, Anny Thuraidah Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Rakat Sehat : Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 http://jrsabdimas-poltekkesbjm.com/index.php/JRS/article/view/93 Sat, 21 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Pemberdayaan Kader Dan Keluarga Dalam Pengenalan Dan Penanganan Tanda-Tanda Bahaya Kehamilan Pada Ibu Hamil Dalam Upaya Menurunkan Tingkat Kejadian Abortus Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Astambul http://jrsabdimas-poltekkesbjm.com/index.php/JRS/article/view/101
The Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in South Kalimantan Province, particularly in Banjar Regency, has shown an increase from 2018 to 2023. In 2018, the MMR was recorded at 108 per 100,000 live births, up from 103.9 in the previous year. By 2023, Banjar Regency reported 199 cases of MMR, ranking it as the third-highest region in the province. The leading causes of maternal deaths were hemorrhage and hypertensive disorders in pregnancy. In Pasar Jati Village, Astambul District, Banjar Regency, there were 6 cases of abortion in 2023, the highest among 22 villages in the district. Research indicates a strong correlation between abortion and pregnancy risk factors, with 32.95% of pregnant women having high-risk factors and 18.19% having very high-risk factors. Out of 197 pregnant women, 25 had a history of abortion with high or very high-risk factors. Health education is considered an effective strategy to enhance public awareness and knowledge about abortion and pregnancy danger signs. Studies show that health education significantly improves knowledge among pregnant women, particularly primigravida, regarding pregnancy risks and abortion prevention. Providing information early in pregnancy can better prepare mothers and reduce the risk of complications. Community service results demonstrated an increase in respondents' knowledge about pregnancy danger signs and abortion management, with p-values of 0.016 for families and 0.002 for health cadres. Thus, health education is a crucial intervention in efforts to reduce MMR and improve maternal well-being.

Keyword : Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR), abortion, health education, pregnancy danger signs
ainun sajidah, Hammad, Parellangi, Rizkan Azhima, Rima Dewi, Nadwa Huda Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Rakat Sehat : Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 http://jrsabdimas-poltekkesbjm.com/index.php/JRS/article/view/101 Sat, 21 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Cegah Penularan Penyakit Hepatitis B Pada Ibu Hamil Melalui Peningkatan Pengetahuan, Deteksi Dini Dan PHBS di Wilayah Puskesmas Sungai Tabuk I Kabupaten Banjar http://jrsabdimas-poltekkesbjm.com/index.php/JRS/article/view/100
Hepatitis B infection is a clinical or pathological symptom characterized by various inflammations of the liver caused by Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection (Siswanto, 2020) which can be transmitted through horizontal and vertical transmission. Horizontal transmission occurs from one person to another which can be transmitted through bodily fluids, sexual intercourse, and use of shared items. While vertical transmission occurs from pregnant women who are positive for the Hepatitis B virus to their fetuses, which can be transmitted through the placenta, during childbirth, and breast milk (Jalaluddin, 2020). This community service applies the research results of Safitri and Nurulhuda (2023) who obtained the results of HBsAg and Anti HBS examinations in pregnant women in Lok Buntar Village and Pematang Panjang Village in the Sungai Tabuk 1 Health Center area, Banjar Regency, 3 respondents were HBsAg reactive and 5 people were positive for Anti HBs. The problems experienced by partners include low levels of knowledge and understanding of clean and healthy living awareness to prevent transmission of hepatitis B, suboptimal empowerment of productive-age women and pregnant women, reactive hepatitis B test results are still found, and the unavailability of anti-HBS tests to determine the presence of hepatitis antibodies in pregnant women. The purpose of this community service activity is to educate and empower productive-age women and pregnant women who are active in the Bumil Sehati class activities. Cadres are equipped with knowledge about hepatitis B, how to prevent and treat hepatitis B infections and how to detect early occurrences of hepatitis B infections through physical examinations. According to data from the Banjar Regency Health Profile, 2021, the coverage of vitamin A provision in Banjar Regency for toddlers (aged 6 – 59 months) is still low, namely 80.1% (RPJMN target is 87%), including in East Martapura District due to, among other things. due to the fact that the work area is difficult to reach, there is still a lack of available health workers, the target is quite large, there is still a large amount of vitamin A entrusted to posyandu cadres and village midwives who do not reach the target, as well as a lack of information to mothers of toddlers about the importance of vitamin intake.
